Box Score March 2, 2015 - Selden, NY

The Bronx Community College Men's Basketball team's season has come to an end in the semi-finals of the regional tournament Saturday at Suffolk Community College in Selden, NY. The Broncos fell to BMCC 80-66 in a rematch of the CUNYAC Finals.

The nationally ranked Panthers demonstrated early why they were the #1 seed in the tournament jumping out to a first half lead and growing the deficit to as much as 10 before BCC narrowed the gap to 40-33 going into halftime. The Broncos looked to mount a comeback as the second half got underway but the sharp-shooting of BMCC sophomore Justin Manon, who would score 30 points in the contest, and the inside presence of CUNYAC Player of the Year Kenneth Coar, were too much for the Broncos.

Bronx was led by CUNYAC Rookie of the Year, Brian Berrios who put up 14 points and CUYNAC All-Star Jatton Pierce-Bias registered 12 points and 6 rebounds in the loss. Yohan Almonte chipped in with 12 points off the bench.

The Broncos had a strong season, reaching the CUNYAC Finals as well as the Regional Semi-Finals. BCC finished with an overall record of 19-11 with highlight wins against both Nassau and Sullivan this season which marks a 2-game improvement over last season. The team looks to continue to improve and build on their success next season.
