Earlier this week, the CUNY Community College men's basketball All-Conference team was announced, and the Broncos had two members of its program receive accolades. Sophomore Alexander Hattel was tabbed an All-Conference player, while Omar Ait Mohamed Amer earned a Sportsmanship team distinction. Following the announcement of the distinctions, Director of Athletics Dionne Dodson saluted the honorees.

"I would like to congratulate our student-athletes on their well-deserved CUNY Community College recognition," Dodson said. "I am happy Alex was recognized for his hard work and dedication by his coaches and the CUNY coaches. Omar showed tremendous commitment this season, always looking to improve while being a consummate teammate. For those reasons, Omar was a perfect fit for a sportsmanship accolade. I'm very proud of both of these young men."

During the 2025-2026 campaign, Alex ranked second in both points per game (10.4) and rebounds per game (4.4). He led the team in total assists (47) and steals (47). In 24 games, he scored in double figures 14 teams, netting 13 points or more 10 times

Amer played in 20 of the team's 24 games this season, collecting 32 rebounds in 196 minutes.
