First year Head Coach and longtime staple of the women's volleyball program, Orlando Vargas, has recruited three high-upside players, including Briana Daniel, Joslyn Batten, and Madeline Peralta. Each of the aforementioned individuals have signed Letters of Intent with Bronx Community College.

"I am very pleased to welcome Briana, Joslyn, and Madeline to our family," Vargas expressed. "These three ladies all will have the ability to have a big impact on matches, and we're looking forward to them making their own mark on this program."

Briana Daniel, a Defensive Specialist out of Bronx Early College Academy, played two years of high school volleyball under Head Coach Avrien Anderson. Additionally, she played for the club team M.O.S. (Matter of Sports). She'll be expected to be a major presence as the team aims to improve its defense.

Joslyn Batten, an Outside Hitter, played two years of high school volleyball as Bronx Aerospace High. She was tabbed as her team's Most Valuable Player during the 2018 campaign. During that season, she accumulated 61 points, 15 digs, 14 service aces, 14 assists, 11 kills, and 10 blocks.  She brings a versatile arsenal with her to the Broncos, and she'll be expected to display that versatility on the court.

Madeline Peralta served as a Right Side for Inwood Academy for Leadership. She has a reputation as a very motivated player on both the court, and in the classroom. She'll major in Criminal Justice at BCC after earning a high school GPA of 4.06.
