Set number one between the Broncos and Wave featured a total of five lead changes, with the final pendulum swing coming late in the set when the Broncos relinquished a 19-17 advantage. Kingsborough, trailing by two, scored four consecutive points, courtesy of consecutive errors by Sierra, an attack error by Adriana Powell, and a bad set by Santana. Bronx would get a point back thanks to a Nancy Pierre service error, but consecutive miscues by the Broncos gave the Wave a 23-20 advantage, prompting Khaila Stevenson to take a timeout.

Out of the timeout, Bronx scored two consecutive points to close the gap to one, 23-22, thanks to a service error by Pierre, and a kill from Cuello. The Wave answered back with a kill by Ericka James to snatch a 24-22 advantage, but Sierra responded with a kill to keep her team alive and bringing the Broncos to within one (24-23). Kingsborough then solidified the set victory when Noelina Vargas committed an attack error to give the Wave a 25-23 triumph.

Bronx trailed 10-4 in the second set before going on an 8-1 run to catapult ahead by a score of 12-11. That aforementioned run was highlighted by four kills and two service aces by Sierra, and another two aces by Vargas. The Wave would secure the next two points via a service error by Sierra and a service ace by Pierre, but Bronx snatched the lead back following consecutive errors by Kingsborough.

Trailing 14-13, the Wave dominated the rest of the set, outscoring the Broncos 12-3 the rest of the way to win it, 25-17. Of those final 12 points by the visitors, two came courtesy of kills by Jahmi, and Ericka James and Arizaga earned a kill apiece during that spurt. Jahmi, Ericka James, Arizaga each added a service ace during that sequence, as well.

In the third and final set, the Broncos trailed 5-1 early before rallying with four consecutive points to tie the set at five apiece. Cuello registered a pair of service aces, which were sandwiched between a service error by Arizaga, and a bad set by Nikki Mortellaro. Kingsborough snatched the lead back via a kill by Ericka James, and the Wave eventually secured 16 of the ensuing 25 points to take a commanding 22-14 advantage.

Bronx refused to quit despite things looking bleak, as an attack error by Arizaga, compiled with a service ace by Vargas, and a kill by Sierra, brought the hosts to within five (22-17). The Wave stopped the bleeding via a service error by Vargas, but the Broncos kept pushing, scoring the next two points via kills by Cuello to close to within four (23-19). The teams then alternated the next three points, with Kingsborough closing out the set and the match with a kill by Arizaga.

The Wave hit .197 for the evening (21-9-61), while the Broncos hit .012 (21-20-81). Bronx held a 15-12 advantage in service aces, but Kingsborough notched 40 digs on the evening compared to 30 for the hosts.

The Broncos will look to bounce back tomorrow evening, as Bronx will travel to the BMCC Gymnasium to battle the Panthers in a CUNY match. Start-time is scheduled for 6:00pm.
