The Bronx Community College Women's Volleyball team played today at Alumni Gymnasium and won the 1st game of the season.

The Broncos defeated the Monroe College - Bronx Express by the score of 3 - 0. The score of each were 25 - 12, 25 - 22 and 25 - 18. 

The Bronx team season record is Win - 1 Loss - 2

The Bronx team worked hard the complete match to make plays in a consistent manner.  The team scored 33 points.

On offense, the attacked was carried out at the proper moments and with limited the number of errors.  On serve, the team had 20 aces and committed 18 errors.  

On defense, the team covered playing areas well but made receiving errors.  

The team was able to respond with energy and intensity to the to the efforts of the Express team during each set.  The motivation to fight back to regain the lead was excellent throughout the match.

Eriadna R. Vasquez, Ashley Suarez scored 11 and 8 points respectively. Yanibel Brito scored 4 points.

Vasquez and Suarez had 6 service aces each.

Doribel Duran, Yasmin Valdez, Wynona Medina, Kimberlynn Pichardo, Sthephany Jimenez and Sergi N. Ramirez Flores made contributions and effort to assist in the Broncos overall play.

On Thursday, September 14, 2017 the Bronx team plays at Alumni Gymnasium at &:00 PM against current CUNY Champion Queensborough Community College Tigers.
