Box Score
December 12. 2017 - Bronx, NY

On Tuesday Dec. 12, the Broncos hosted the visiting Falcons of Dutchess Community College at Bronx CC's Alumni Gymnasium.

Coming off a grim loss at the hands of BMCC two days earlier, the Bronx stepped onto their home court determined to seek a win.  The first half started off with the Broncos defense keeping the Falcons at bay.  Broncos guard Terrell Wigfall came off the bench to provide 11 first half points and forward Oluwatosin Onabanjo contributing 8 points to keep the Broncos ahead of the Falcons.  When the horn blew ending the first half, the Broncos were in the lead over the Falcons 41 to 30..

The second half opened with the Broncos asking themselves a familiar question, how to hold on to a half-time lead and finish the game ahead of their opponent?  For the first time in several games, the Bronx CC team played hard and together.  Once again, the dark cloud of complacency lowered over the Bronx who began to give up layups giving the Falcons life.

With Dutchess making their drive against the Bronx, Oluwatosin Onabanjo went on second half scoring frenzy finishing the game with 27 points and 10 rebounds.  Onabanjo wasn't the only Bronco to double double.  Herve Awono scored 13 points with 10 rebounds and the quiet man, Hector Montano Valenzuela scored 10 points and pulled down an impressive 17 rebounds.

The Broncos went on to defeat the Falcons with a final score of 83 to 72.

The Broncos will be traveling to Queens on Thursday, December 14, 2017 to face the Tigers of Queensborough Community College.  Tip off is at 7:30 pm.

This will be the Broncos last game of the first half of the 2017-2018 season.

Action will resume on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 8 pm at home at Alumni Gym  against the Tigers of Queensborough CC.
