Volleyball win streak stopped - starts a new one

The Bronx Community College Broncos Women's Volleyball team played two matches today in Suffern, NY  The games were played in the Eugene Levy Fieldhouse at Rockland Community College.

In the first match of the day, the Broncos loss to the Rockland Community College Falcons by score of 3-0.  The loss stopped the win streak the Broncos had build.  The team is learning to play at a higher level when challenged by the top team in the NJCAA Region XV schedule.

The learning was quickly tested in the 2nd match of the day against the Westchester Community College Vikings.  The match required 5 sets to determine the winner.  The Broncos won by score of 3-2 and are winning close sets at important times.

Playing well during the day were Ashley Suarez, Sergi Nuvani Ramirez Flores, Eriadna Rachell Vasquez Bautista, Mayra Almonte, Wynona Medina, Samantha Nunez and Sthefany Jimenez.

The season record for the Bronx CC team is now Win - 6 Loss - 10.  In the CUNY Athletic Conference, the record is Won - 0 Loss - 3.
