The last home game of the regular season schedule for the Bronx Community College Broncos Women's Volleyball team was played tonight against the Kingsborough Community College The Wave team.   The game was played at Alumni Gymnasium.

The final score of the match was Kingsborough CC - 3 Bronx CC - 2

Before the match, a beautiful and emotional ceremony of sportsmanship and appreciation was held.  

Student athletes on both teams were honored for their accomplishments and for the role they played for their teams.   Three players on The Wave team were honored: # 1 Kimberley Hernadez,  # 8 Caitland Dowd and  # 12 Tylaysia Goulborne.   Honored in the Broncos team: Mayra Almonte, Eriadna Rachell Vasquez Bautista, Ashley Suarez, Sergi Nuvani Ramirez Flores and Yanibel Brito. 

In five (5) competitive sets, the Broncos team started playing well with energy and skills.  The Wave team matched Broncos effort to win the final set in a convincing manner.

Playing well for the Broncos were Mayra Almonte, Eriadna Rachell Vasquez Bautista, Ashley Suarez, Sergi Nuvani Ramirez Flores and Yanibel Brito

Both teams play again in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday October 14, 2017 at 12:00 PM.   In a second match of the day the Broncos play the Queensborough Community College Tigers team to complete the regular season schedule for 2017.
