The Bronx Community College (BCC) Lady Broncos Women's Volleyball team played the first home game of the season at Alumni Gymnasium last night.

The Lady Broncos hosted Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Tigers.  It was a NJCAA Division III Region XV match.

The final score of the game was FIT - 3 BCC - 0

The score for each set were: 25-10, 25-15, 25-19.

The performance of the Bronx team was strong.  There were many signs of continous improvement.  The players were agressive and motivated to do their jobs.  Technically, receiving serves needs to improve further as the reduction of errors continue down.  The team is having more assists as the rotations are being done faster and accurately.

Head Coach Ingrid Carmona feels that "there is improvement in the team's overall performance."

Yanibel Brito had 4 kills in 14 attempts.  Sergi Nuvani Ramirez Flores had 10 assists and 3 serve aces.   Hualeska Garcia and Stephanie Hernandez had 18 and 10 digs respectively.   Eriadna Rachell Vasquez Bautista had 3 solo block on defense. 

Estefania Cruz did a good job on defense when she was on the court with 9 digs.   

The season record for the Bronx CC team is now - Win - 0 Loss- 3
