Women's volleyball competition is exciting for the players and for the fans.

Today at Alumni Gymnasium, the Bronx Community College team showed a positive attitude and drive to win a match against Kingsborough Community College.  The Lady Broncos wanted to win the 1st game of the CUNY Athletic Conference season schedule.

The team loss to Kingsborough CC by score of 3 - 0.   The scores for each set were: 23 - 25, 23 - 25, 21 - 25.  

Bronx CC has now a 7-game losing streak.

The Lady Broncos offensive and defensive strategy resulted in good statistics with 47 points, 28 kills, 17 aces, 27 assists and 49 digs.  Team errors at crucial times hurt the team chances on each set.

Hualeska Garcia had 11 kills, 6 aces and 22 digs.  Sergi Nuvani Ramirez Flores had 22 assists.  Yanibel Brito had 7 kills and 12 digs.

The season record for the Bronx CC team is Win - 2 Loss - 12

The next match is on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Manhattan against Fashion Institute of Technology in an NJCAA Division III Region XV game.
