October 9, 2016 - Bronx, NY

The Bronx Community College Women's Volleyball team played five (5) away matches from October 3 to October 9, 2016.  The team has now a 6-game loss streak.

What a week!    The Lady Broncos won one (1) set out of 16 sets played.

On October 4, 2016 the team played at The Swamp and loss to Hostos CC by score of 3 - 0

On Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Brooklyn, the Bronx CC team loss to Kingsborough CC and to Queensborough CC by similar scores of 3 - 0.

On Sunday, October 9, 2016, the Lady Broncos travelled to Suffern, NY.  In the first match, they loss to Westchester CC by the score of 3 - 0.   In the second match, Rockland CC defeated Bronx CC by score of 3 - 1.

The reason for the losses is the errors being made by the team when on serve, on attack and ball handling.  The errors happened at crucial times in the matches.

The Lady Broncos team members work hard, are motivated and have a positive attitude toward the game.  Improving play due to less team errors is the solution to win games.

During the week, there was consitent play from Hualeska Garcia, Yanibel Brito. Eriadna Rachell Vasquez Bautista, Sergi Nuvani Ramirez Flores, Estefania Cruz, Mayra Almonte and Arlenee Mejia.  All of the players like competition, address challenges and never give-up.  They are a team.  The Lady Broncos.

On  Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 7:00 PM in historic Alumni Gymnasium, Bronx CC will play a home game against Kingsborough CC.  It is a CUNY Athletic Conference match.
