The Bronx CC Broncos Men's basketball team won the 18th game of the regular season vs Suffolk County CC Sharks by a score of 74-69 in historic Alumni Gymnasium.  The game was exciting and close until the end.

Both teams started the game with scoring runs that lasted until there was an offensive flow for each team.  Both teams took shots often and quickly with many misses.  At the end of the 1^st period the score was Suffolk County – 37 Bronx CC – 36.

The fast pattern of play continued in the 2^nd half.  Teams traded baskets and there were several lead changes.  

In the final minute, the Broncos made shots and free throws while the Sharks missed in their opportunities.  Both teams had turnovers at the end that impacted in favor of the Broncos.

Freshman Romello Rashad (24 points) and Richard Lue (19 points) led the scoring for the Broncos.  Sophomore Karius Morris collected 10 rebounds.

Team statistics indicate that both teams shot 35% for the field.  Suffolk County CC was excellent at the free throw line making 18 of 20 free throws attempted.  

On defense, the Broncos team collected 49 rebounds, had 11 steals and 4 block shots.   Suffolk County CC Cheick Sy-Savane, the leading scorer in the NJCAA Region XV scored 19 points and kept below his season scoring average.

Next for the Broncos are the final three games of the regular season.  The team members are motivated, prepared and well organized to achieve success.
