The Men's Basketball team extended their winning streak to four games as they defeated Dutchess CC on Saturday, 75-57. The win was the second of the season vs the Falcons and polishes off a successful string of road games for the Broncos.
Bronx seized an early lead against DCC yet the pace of the game was slow throughout the first period. Bronx kept a comfortable double digit lead for much of the half but a late push by DCC narrowed the Bronco lead to 9 at the break, with the score 33-24. Bronx was able to pick up the scoring pace in the second and regain a double-digit margin. With 5:48 to go in the game, BCC led 58-44. They extended the lead from there and pulled away late for the win.
Brian Berrios led 3 Broncos who scored in double figures with 17 points. Yohan Almote scored 16 points and
Jatton Pierce-Bias had 14.
Karius Morris continued his ways on the glass, pulling down 17 rebounds to go with 9 points.
With the win, the Broncos move to 13-5 on the season. They return to action on Tuesday, January 20 as they host the Tigers of Queensborough CC at 8pm in the Alumni Gym.
