Box Score 1/18/14 – Bronx, NY

The BCC Men's Basketball team was victorious on Saturday, beating Dutchess CC by the score of 95-56. The win was the second one over the Falcons this year as the Broncos score a key regional victory.

Bronx had 6 players score in double figures on the afternoon. Stephen Wilson led the way with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Kevin Vanderpool and Abdel Peguero notched 17 points apiece while Parris Purcelle had 15. Bud McQueen pulled down 11 rebounds to go with 7 points off the bench. In his first start for Bronx, Torrence Ested posted a career high 11 points as well.

The Broncos took the lead early and were able to extend it by 17 points by halftime. Their steady scoring attack continued throughout most of the game, and the Falcons were unable to close the gap at any point.

With the win, the Broncos move to 12-6 on the season and 6-6 within Region XV. They return to action on Thursday, January 23^rd when they host the Red Hawks of LaGuardia CC for the first time in their program's short history. Tip off will be at 7pm in the Alumni Gym.
