Box Score Garden City, NY – 11/27/13

The Broncos 8-game winning streak came to an end last night as Nassau Community College beat BCC, 101-87.  The loss was the first of the season for the Broncos, who had gotten off to an 8-0 start. 

The team was led by Kevin Vanderpool and Taylor Foster who had 19 points each and added 10 and 11 rebounds, respectively.   Abdel Peguero also had a strong performance with 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists of his own. 

In a matchup of two undefeated teams, the Broncos started the game off slowly and fell behind early.  Headed into the locker room, the team found themselves down by 17 points witht the score 54-37.  In the second half however, Bronx fought back as they cut the deficit to just 7.  Down the stretch though, the Lions persevered and pulled ahead by 14 by the time the final buzzer sounded. 

With the loss, the Broncos fall to 8-1 overall and 3-1 in Region XV.  The team returns to action on Tuesday, December 3^rd at 7pm as they take on the Sharks of Suffolk Community College in Selden, NY.
