This past Friday morning, May 30, the 65^th Commencement ceremony was held on Bronx Community College's historic Ohio Field.  A multitude of friends and family were on hand to celebrate the hard-earned academic achievements of their loved ones. Several of the institution's student-athletes walked across the stage with their heads held high, and Director of Athletics Dionne Dodson expressed how proud she was of their dedication and diligence.
 
"Today served as a beautiful testament to our student-athletes' hard work, sacrifice, and commitment to achieving excellence in the classroom," Dodson said. "Some of our athletes balance a plethora of responsibilities. They have their academic obligations, come to practices and games, hold down jobs, and for some of them – they care for family members. Developing these multi-tasking skills now prepares them for the world they'll enter after college. Seeing their hard work pay off is extremely gratifying for me, and I wish them nothing but the best in their next chapter."

Bronx Community College's Interim President, Dr. Milton Santiago congratulated the graduates as they walked across the stage to accept their degrees. The commencement speakers included Julissa Reynoso - Former U.S Ambassador to Spain (commencement speaker), Yudelka Tapia (86^th District state assembly person), Pierina Sanchez (Council Member representing District 14), Congress member Adriano Espaillat (serving New York 13^th Congressional District), Robert Jackson (NY State Senator for District 31), Vanessa L Gibson (Bronx Borough President), Lorraine Cortez-Vazquez (University Trustee), and Felix V Matos Rodriguez (CUNY Chancellor)
