Box Score The Broncos' men's basketball team dropped a road contest on Saturday, falling to the Sharks of Suffolk County Community College by a score of 88-61. The game took place in Selden, NY. With the loss, Bronx dipped to a mark of 3-16 on the 2023-2024 campaign, while the Sharks improved to a mark of 5-9 on the year.

Despite the loss for Bronx, standout freshman James Wenzel continued to evolve for the Broncos, as he posted a double-double with 21 points (10-19 FG), 10 rebounds, and five steals. Sharpshooter Matthew Candelaria contributed 15 points, six boards, and two steals, and Tim Graham and Daniel Armstrong scored nine and eight points respectively.

For the afternoon, Bronx connected on 35.4 percent of its attempts from the floor (28-79) while collecting 40 rebounds, dishing 14 assists, and tallying 11 steals. Missed opportunities from the free throw line hurt the Broncos, as Bronx drained just three of 16 attempts from the stripe (18.8 percent).

Bronx will look to get back into the win column on Tuesday evening, as the Broncos will travel to Stone Ridge, NY to battle SUNY Ulster. Start-time for that contest is scheduled for 7:00pm.
