BRONX, NY - @BronxAthletics Men's Basketball welcomes new assistant coach Justin Daniels to the sidelines ahead of the 2022-2023 season. Daniels is native of Bronx, NY who attended Mount Saint Michael Academy and played on their basketball team. He then attended Borough of Manhattan Community College and had a brief stint with the Panthers, ranking fourth in total blocks with 86. 

Daniels continued his education at City College of NY, graduating in 2016 with an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts. He continued his passion for athletics by serving as the YMCA aquatics director, managing all youth, teen and adult swim programs. He also mentored and coached in several different programs. 

When asked about his transition to joining the BCC family he informed us that "It feels like I am coming full circle. I am from the Bronx, played high-school basketball in the Bronx, had the opportunity of enrolling in BCC and now getting the second chance to have a positive impact on the school and the program." 

Daniels also shared that he believes that he can "provide an area of expertise in regards to having played within CUNY, to knowing what it feels like to be a student athlete in NYC. The growing pains that come from balancing school, sports, and life and helping individuals actually be better versions of themselves for the next day, each day."
