In the victory for the Lions, Nassau was paced by the stellar effort of Donte Howard, as he connected on 12 of his 14 shots from the floor, and eight of his 10 free throws, to finish with a game-high 37 points. He also snatched five boards, tied for the game-high of five assists, and led all players with four steals. Nassau held a commanding 35-17 advantage with 4:30 remaining in the opening half before the Broncos put together a ferocious 16-4 run to cut the Lions' edge to six (39-33) as time expired on the opening half. Shihadeh accounted for nine points during that aforementioned Bronx run, draining three triples.
