Asia Nelson scores 26 points and snatches 19 rebounds in Broncos' 77-71 double-overtime loss to Vikings

The Bronx Community College women's basketball team dropped its season finale on Thursday evening, falling to the Vikings of Westchester Community College by a score of 77-71 in double overtime. The game was played at the Viking Gymnasium in Westchester. With the loss, the Broncos finalized their season at 2-18, while Vikings improved to 1-11 on the 2017-2018 campaign.

Despite the loss for Bronx Community College, Asia Nelson put forth a fantastic performance for her team, scoring 26 points, grabbing 19 rebounds, five steals, and two assists. Nia Simmons – who earlier in the day was tabbed as a CUNYAC All-Conference player – scored 17 points, snatched six rebounds, and added six assists.

In a winning effort for the Vikings, Westchester Community College was led by Paige Collins, as she scored a career-high 29 points. Denise Crockett netted 18 points, while Ambar Rincon added 13. Finally, it was Shanaya Jones posting a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists.
