Box Score November 21, 2017 - Bronx, NY

The Nassau Community College Lions played the Bronx Community College Broncos Men's basketball team tonight in Alumni Gymnasium.

After a close 1st half where the Broncos ended with a 26-22 lead,  the Lions scored 62 points in the second half to win the game 84 - 54 over the Broncos.

What was obvious was obvious:  The Bronx CC team fell apart when scoring 28 points and not being able to stop the Nassau team.   

Team play on offense and defense did not happened late in the game.  The lack of execution of responsibilities became a weakness that produced negative results.

The Broncos field goal percent for the game was 28.6%  The team did not make a 3-point field goal in 14 attempts and made 10 of 16 free throws (62.5%).  The team had 42 rebounds and 21 turnovers.   In addition, the Broncos received 2 technical fouls.

This loss is the 3rd consecutive for the Broncos.

During the short break for the Thanksgiving Holidays, the Bronx CC team will be returning to the strength of the play strategy.  It is the unit, not individual play, that gives meaning to the effectiveness of the team.

The Broncos will be traveling to Brentwood, NY to play an away game against Suffolk County Community College Sharks at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
