Box Score January 10, 2017 - Bronx, NY

The Bronx Community College Broncos entered Rockland Community College Hawks with a score to settle.

The last time these two teams met back in December of 2016, Rockland upset the Broncos at home by a score of 84 to 81.

Bronx began the game playing slow and lackadaisical.  Slowly things began to come together for the Broncos.  Displaying effort and grit by Broncos guard Jhalil Mason, Bronx began to pull ahead.  Mason scored an impressive 20 points to give Bronx a 10 point lead at half-time.

During halftime, Coach Sean Kelly stressed to his team to remain focused and together and not to forget that the last time these two teams met, Bronx didn't play hard, smart and together causing them to lose a game that was in hand.

At the start of the second half with the fire stoked,  the Broncos played at a tempo that Rockland had difficulty keeping up with.  Solid rebounding and ball distribution gave Bronx the edge they wanted.

Three Broncos finished the game with double-doubles: guard Jhalil Mason, 30 points, 11 rebounds, guard Richard Lue, 19 points, 11 rebounds and guard/forward Jonathan Frazier, 10 points, 13 rebounds.

The Broncos played hard, smart and together defeating the Rockland Hawks, 106 to 54.

The season record for the Bronx CC team is  Win - 12 Loss - 6.
