The Men's game went to overtime and the Hostos CC team defeated Bronx CC by score of 87-78.

The game action was fast from the start.  The Broncos made shots, control the basketball and were able to stop the Caimans offense in the 1st period to  lead 47-33.

The second period saw Hostos played better while the Bronx team field goal attempts were misses and turnovers increased.  In the last few minutes of the game both teams had chances to win but crucial missed shots by both teams contributed to the 2nd period score of 67-67.

The game was decided in the final 2 minutes of the overtime as Broncos turnovers and shot misses were converted to points by the Caimans.

Freshman Richard Lue (20 points), Jatton Pierce-Bais (16 points), and Freshman Jonathan Frazier (12 points) led the offense for the Broncos who shot 35.5% for the game.    Hostos CC was led by David Ivanov (27 points) who made 11 out of 15 shots.

The formula for Broncos excellence -  shot making, ball control and stopping the opponents offense - when executed consistantly will lead to wins in the post season Championships.   This is a good basketball team.

The Bronx CC Men's season record is now Win - 20 Loss - 6.  On the NJCAA Men's Basketball Poll of February 9, 2016 the team was ranked # 8 in Division III with 25 points.

Go Broncos.
