The Bronx Community College Women's Basketball won Tuesday 59-44 at BMCC. The wins marks the second time this season the Lady Broncos have defeated the Panthers.

In what was a poor shooting game for both teams, BCC outshot the Lady Panthers to hold a 1 point lead going into halftime. Bronx would come out hot in the second half scoring 39 points over the period and limiting their opponent's to only 20.  The Lady Broncos also used outstanding bench play to outscore BMCC's bench 13-0.

Sophomore guard Hivelize Escobar led BCC in scoring with 32 points. Freshman Shakia Artist recorded 15 rebounds while registering 6 blocks and scoring 8 in a great game off the bench. Fellow freshman Chloe Walton also grabbed 15 rebounds in a solid performance.

With the win the team goes to 9-9 on the year and 6-3 in the conference. The Lady Broncos next take the court on Sunday when they travel to Selden, NY to play Suffolk Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 1pm.
