The quest for a first every CUNYAC Championship begins tonight for the#3 seeded Lady Broncos, as they take on #2 seeded LaGuardia CC. Despite BCC's first winning record in the CUNYAC at 7-3, LaGuardia and Queensborough were tied at the top of league standings at 8-2 at the end of the regular season, which left Bronx a close 3rd.
The Lady Broncos fell to the Red Hawks twice during the regular-season, however, the team earned a trip to the CUNYAC finals last year by beating LCC in a similar under-dog situation. Head Coach Pete Cepeda hopes the team will be inspired by last year's performance, while learning from the two previous defeats this year.
Tonight's game will be played at BMCC in New York, NY and will tip off at 8pm. A Lady Bronco win will lock up a spot in the conference finals, to be held at BMCC on Friday, February 20th at 6pm.
