The Broncos made it 2-0 in 2015 as they traveled to Rockland CC for a regional matchup that saw them come away with the victory by the score of 89-74. The win is the second one vs. the Hawks this season as BCC won at Rockland for the first time since 2012.
The teams were evenly matched early, yet Bronx was able to take a 3-point lead into the locker room at halftime with the score, 42-39. Their 42 point half came on the strength of shooting 57% from the field.
BCC's slick shooting only got better in the second period, as they upped their efficiency to 65% from the floor. The team pulled away late for the 15-point triumph.
Jatton Pierce-Bias' 19 points led all scorers and his four teammates who scored at least 12 points for the game. Yohan Almonte and Brian Berrios converted for 18 points apiece while Karon Williams added 12. Esvvi Tavares chipped in with 7 rebounds to go with 6 points.
The win betters the Broncos' record to 11-5 on the season and they continue their stretch of road games as they travel to Brooklyn, NY to take on Kingsborough CC at 8pm on Thursday, January 15th.
