Early in the first half, the teams played a tight game on both sides of the court. Bronx was able to make a run and open up a 10 point lead with 2-minutes until the half ended. A fast flurry of buckets capped off by a LCC 3-pointer brought the score to within a point at 50-49 by intermission.

Inside the last minute of the game, the Broncos found themselves up by 3 points, but a foul with 30 seconds to go put LaGuardia on the line to shoot two. They converted the first and the second shot was off the mark but a rebound by LCC led to a put-back layup that tied the game. As the clock counted down,
Yohan Almonte brought the ball to the front court for a drive in the paint. A last second dish found
Lamont Watson who finished with the lay-in to take a two point lead with just 5 seconds left. Watson's winner proved to be the difference as on the ensuing LaGuardia possession
Jatton Pierce-Bias was able to force a turnover that sealed the win.
Pierce-Bias led the Broncos with 21 points to go with 6 rebounds.
Yohan Almonte had 17 point points and 4 steals.
Brian Berrios added 16 and
