The Bronx's Men's Basketball team came away with a convincing victory in a Region XV matchup last night over the Ulster Senators, 98-46. With the win, the team has now won 3 out of its last 4 games.

The Broncos displayed a balanced scoring attack with 5 different players scoring in double figures. Parris Purcelle led the charge with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Jordan Webb notched his second double-double of the season with 13 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Abdel Peguero netted 14 points, hitting three 3-pointers, and chipped in with 4 assists. Christopher Velez and Brandon Bermeo both contributed 10 points each.

After a close win in the first meeting with Ulster, BCC was in control throughout the game this time around. Despite shooting 39% in the first half, the Broncos held a 15 point lead at halftime. In the second half the offense began to shoot more efficiently, increasing the field goal percentage to 68% and scoring 58 total points. The Broncos defense tightened up in the second half as well, limiting the Senators to 21 points.

With the win, Bronx improves their record to 14-7 overall and 9-7 in Region XV play. The Broncos will look to get the better end of a rematch against Sullivan County Community College in their next contest. The game will be held at Sullivan on Thursday January 30th and tip-off is scheduled for 7pm.
