Hawks Early Lead Too Much For Broncos

Box Score 1/25/2014 – Bronx, NY

The men's basketball team was unable to overcome an early deficit as they fell to Rockland CC by the score of 88-74 on Saturday.  The loss marked the second time this season the Broncos fell to the Hawks, who came into the game just ahead of Bronx in the regional standings.
 
Kevin Vanderpool led team with 20 points.  Taylor Foster had 12 rebounds and 8 points while Abdel Peguero pitched in 14 points and 4 assists of his own.

The Broncos found themselves down early as they were unable to get into a scoring rhythm.  BCC trailed at the half, as they did the previous meeting, 52-38.  Bronx looked to close the gap in the second half, but they were only able to get as close as 9 and any point in the period.  Though their scoring increased, the Hawks kept the Broncos at bay to make it a 14 point in the end.

With the loss, the Broncos fall to 13-7 overall and 8-7 within region XV.  The team returns to action on Tuesday, January 28th at 7pm as they take on Ulster CC in Stone Ridge, NY.
