Box Score Bronx, NY – 12/9/13

The Lady Broncos fell at the hands of the Hostos Caimans on Saturday by the final score of 77-47.  The loss was just their first within CUNYAC play.

Hivelize Escobar led BCC once again with 27 points and 6 rebounds.  Tylaisha Davis added 6 points while Dorae Murray had 4 points and 5 assists.

The game started competitive with both teams exchanging early baskets.  With the score close, the Lady Broncos looked to use the home court advantage and the momentum from their recent win vs. LaGuardia CC to their advantage.  But the Caimans had other ideas as they were able to play tough defense and post a relentless scoring attack. 

Down by 17 at the break, the Lady Broncos could only hope to close the gap early in the second to get back in the game.  In the end, it was Hostos who pulled away and coasted late for the win. 

With the loss, the Lady Broncos fall to 3-2 (3-1 within Region XV).  They return to action on Tuesday, December 10^th as they host Rockland CC at the Alumni Gymnasium at 5pm.
