Box Score 12/30/13 – Bronx, New York

The BCC Lady Broncos fell to the Fighting Hawks of Rockland CC, 71-42, on Saturday in a holiday regional matchup. With the loss, the Lady Broncos drop to 3-4 overall and 3-3 within Region XV.

Hivelize Escobar led the team with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Dorae Murray added 10 points of her own. Chelsea Harris put up 6 points and Octavia Eubanks had 5 points to go along with 5 rebounds.

Bronx had a difficult time rebounding and defending the aggressive Rockland squad and fell behind early 11-5. A few quick buckets by BCC drew the team within 2 at 11-9, but they would not get any closer. Though Bronx was able to make some defensive adjustments in the second half, they were unable to score with any consistency to close the gap.

The BCC Lady Broncos return to action on Sunday, January 5^th at 1pm vs Nassau CC at the Alumni Gymnasium.
