The BCC Men's Basketball team continued their winning ways on Thursday, notching a victory over the Senators of Ulster Community College 82-71. The win keeps their record perfect for the year as they move to 7-0.
The Broncos had 5 players score in double digits in a game where contributions came from many places.
Taylor Foster led the way with his 17 points, while NJCAA DIII Player of the Week,
Kevin Vanderpool added 14.
Parris Purcelle had 15 of his own and
Stephen Wilson also had 14 in total.
The game started off with the Broncos jumping out to an early 5 point lead. The Senators not only erased the lead but extended it to their advantage by as much as 9 points midway through the first half. Chris Haynes helped Bronx weather the storm coming off the bench to score 4 points and make some key defensive stops. The Broncos swung the momentum back their way and took an 8 point lead into the locker room at halftime.
In the second half, the Senators showed their toughness once again, closing the gap and not letting BCC extend their lead. The game remained close until the final minutes where Bronx was able to hold Ulster at an arms distance.
The Broncos return to action on Saturday, November 23
rd as they host Passaic CC at 3pm in the Alumni Gymnasium.
