1/10/2026 2:30:00 PM

NJCAA Region 15 announced its Athlete of the Month honorees on Friday morning, and Bronx Community College was represented by freshman standout Kolonnie Green, as the 5'8 forward earned an Honorable Mention thanks to her tremendous efforts during the month of December. Following the announcement of the honorees, Broncos Head Coach Craig Williams praised Green for her impact on the team's success.

"Kolonnie is a terrific young player who is extremely versatile and can contribute in a plethora of ways," Williams said. "She can score, crash the boards, block shots, and steal the ball. The team feeds off of her tenacity and aggressiveness, and the scary thing about it is that she's only going to continue to improve. We're excited to see how she performs in the second half of our season."

Green ended December as the Region 15 leader in blocked shots (39), placing her second overall in the country. She also closed the month averaging 12.6 caroms per evening. In four December contests, the sensational forward averaged 12.5 points, 13.2 rebounds, four swatted shots, 3.2 steals, and 2.75 assists per game.

Since the turn of the calendar to 2026, the Broncos have won three consecutive games, defeating Region 15 foes Westchester and LaGuardia in the process, to improve to 10-4. Bronx is currently 7-2 in Region 15 action. The team will return to the court on Thursday evening, welcoming Kingsborough Community College to the Alumni Gymnasium. Start-time is scheduled for 6:00pm.
