Box Score Bronx's men's soccer team continues to search for its first victory on the 2023 campaign, as yesterday, the Broncos were defeated by the Sharks of Suffolk County Community College by a score of 6-0. The match took place in Selden, NY. With the defeat, the Broncos fell to 0-4-1 on the season, while the Sharks improved to 11-1.

Suffolk notched four goals in the opening half, before tacking on a pair more in the second session to account for the six goals.

Angel Perez and William Escobar Alva scored a goal apiece in the opening 45 minutes, with Kaanturk Akgul netting a pair. In the second half, Jonathan Mejia scored consecutive goals to cap the scoring for the hosts.

Escobar tallied two assists on the afternoon, while Mejia, Ryan Rush, Mario Salguero, and Alva each picked up one assist apiece.

Bronx returns to action on Thursday, as the Broncos will play Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY at 4:00pm.
