The City University of New York Athletic Conference announced its 2023 Community College baseball all-stars on Friday evening, and the Broncos were represented well, as sophomore Steven Correa was tabbed an All-Star, and freshman Euniel De La Rosa earned a spot on the Sportsmanship team. Following the announcement of the awards, Head Coach Adolfo De Jesus praised both youngsters.

"Steven and Euniel are two terrific young men who have contributed to our teams in very important ways," he said. "Steven has been our offensive leader, pacing us in multiple categories and being dominant at the plate throughout the course of this season. Euniel showed tremendous dedication to this program all throughout this campaign, working diligently and staying ready, always willing to contribute in any way possible. I'm very proud of both of these young men."

Correa was an offensive powerhouse for the Broncos during the 2023 campaign, leading Bronx in multiple offensive categories. As of May 6th, he led the team in hits with 31, doubles with nine, and RBI's with 29. The sophomore was also second on the squad with 42 total bases and 13 stolen bases. His production on offense helped push the Broncos to the CUNYAC championship game for the fourth consecutive season, and he'll look to finish his Bronx career strong in Monday's CUNYAC title game, and potential forthcoming NJCAA Region XV tournament contests.

De La Rosa established himself as one of the hardest-working student-athletes on the squad. This award recipient worked diligently and always stayed ready, eager to contribute in any way possible when the coaches called upon him. He always conducted himself professional towards his teammates and opponents and played the game of baseball with grace and maturity.

The Broncos will return to the field Monday morning, as they'll take on Kingsborough Community College in the CUNYAC championship game at Maimonides Park in Brooklyn, NY, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00am.
