The City University of New York Athletic Conference announced its women's basketball weekly awards for the junior colleges on Tuesday morning, and Bronx Community College was represented by Shawnasia Ofaire, who was tabbed as the conference's Player of the Week.

The Frederick Douglass Academy High School product put forth a tremendous effort against Division II Westchester, leading all players on the court with game-highs of 33 points and 20 rebounds. She also added two steals.

Thus far on the 2022 campaign, Ofaire is averaging a double-double with 19.8 points and 11.8 rebounds per contest. She also leads the Broncos in total steals with 10, 

The Broncos will return to the court tonight, as they'll travel to Garden City, NY to take on Nassau Community College. Start-time is scheduled for 6:00pm.
