Women's Volleyball falls in straight sets to Suffolk and Nassau Saturday afternoon

The Broncos' women's volleyball team returned to action yesterday in Suffern, NY, dropping a pair of three-set matches to Suffolk and Nassau. With the defeats, Bronx slipped to a mark of 2-12 on the 2018 campaign.

In the Broncos' 19-25, 20-25, and 9-25 loss to Suffolk, Bronx was paced by Angelica Aquino once again, as she recorded three kills, three service aces, and seven digs. Lissette Dominguez contributed three kills and a pair of digs, and setter Heder Rodriguez added eight assists and three digs.

The Sharks were led by Giselle Fernandez, as he tallied six kills and four digs on the afternoon, and Jacqueline O'Neill recorded five kills. Allison Parker finished the match with three kills and six service aces, and setter Allison Parker had 28 assists.

In Bronx' 16-25, 15-25, and 18-25 loss to Nassau, Aquino and Lisbeth Guerrero contributed three kills apiece, with Aquino also adding seven digs, and Guerrero five digs. Rodriguez had six assists in a losing effort.

The Broncos will return to action on Thursday evening, as they'll take on the Community College of Philadelphia at the Alumni Gym. Start-time is scheduled for 7:00pm.
