The Broncos women's volleyball team dropped a CUNYAC match this evening, falling to the Panthers of the Borough of Manhattan Community College in straight sets by scores of 13-25, 14-25, and 22-25. With the defeat, the Broncos dipped to a mark of 2-10 on the 2018 campaign, while BMCC improved to a record of 4-3 (3-1 CUNYAC).
Despite the loss for the Broncos, Lisbeth Guerrero led the way for Bronx with a team-high six kills and three digs. Angelica Aquino contributed four kills, a team-high 15 digs, and two service aces, and Heder Rodriguez added 11 assists.
In the victory for the Borough of Manhattan Community College, the Panthers were paced by Yolireisi Pichardo, as she recorded match-high eight kills, a team-high 10 assists, four service aces, and two digs. Kimberlyn Campos contributed five kills, six digs, and two service aces, and Nolverys Hernandez added a match-high six service aces.
Bronx will return to action on Saturday, as the Broncos will play a pair of matches against Suffolk Community College (12:00pm) and Nassau Community College (1:15). The contests will take place in Selden, NY.
