Box Score

September 29, 2015 - Bronx, NY

You know there is a good soccer match in Ohio Field when the current NJCAA Champion Suffolk County CC plays Bronx CC.  Both are good teams.  The better team on that day usually wins the match.

Today, the Suffolk County CC Sharks were the stronger team and won the match by a score of 3-1.

As one Bronco fan stated  "They seem to be everywhere"

The Bronx offense played well but the defense had the biggest responsibilities from the start of the match,  The Sharks offensive attack was consistent and scored 2 goals in the 1st period while the Broncos did not score.

Bronx scored during the last minute of the match when CUNYAC Rookie of the Week Fallou Sall took a shot on goal that went on net with an assist from Windell Christopher.  In the 2nd period the Bronx defense held its ground and only allowed a goal via a penalty kick.

There are many lessons to be learned from this match.  The Broncos can play with a championship team.  The Broncos offense was able to have shots on goal.  Improvements with ball movement, correct field positioning and a reduce number of technical mistakes are critical in a tight game.  The Bronx defense worked hard and must improve play from this experience.

The Bronx CC Soccer team season record is Win - 4 Loss - 2.

On Saturday - October 3, 2015 - at 1:00 PM in beautiful Ohio Field, the Broncos play the current CUNY Champion Borough of Manhattan CC Panthers.

Two good team play in an exciting soccer match.  Appreciate CC soccer at its best.
