Box Score 9/26/14 – Staatsburg, NY

BCC's Men's Soccer team suffered a tough loss at the hands of regional opponent Dutchess CC yesterday, by a score of 2-1.  The game was a rematch of the opening round of the 2013  Region XV tournament, a match that the Broncos won 4-2.

Bronx controlled the ball well for much of the first half, but was unable to capitalize on any scoring chances.  At the intermission, the score was tied 0-0.  The game played the same way for much of the second half, until the Falcons scored on a free kick, due to a change of possession just outside the goal keeper's box.    

The Broncos fought back though, and during the 65^th minute, Erick Hungria converted on a free kick that Bronx was awarded when Dutchess committed a foul just outside the 18 yard box.  Just a few minutes later though, a turnover deep in BCC's side of the pitch led to an easy Falcon goal that proved to be the difference in the match. 

With the loss, the Broncos drop to 1-2-1 in Region XV and 1-4-1 overall.   They look to get back on track at home vs. Middlesex CC on Monday, September 29^th.  Game action starts at 4pm on Ohio Field.
