Broncos Can't Hold Off Vikings

In an exciting game that included over 10 shots on goal per team, Bronx fell to Westchester Community College 3-2. In a game that started with a defensive first half, the Broncos could not hold off the Vikings in a second half that saw 5 total goals and more scoring opportunities for both teams.

Both teams began the game aggressively on defense. The first half ended 0-0 with both teams getting a few shots on goal. The second half was a different game, with Bronx scoring twice before Westchester rallied for three unanswered goals. Although Westchester gained the lead, Bronx still had opportunities to score in the final quarter of regulation.

Mario Folkes provided some much-needed offense for the Broncos, scoring both goals, one on an assist from Erick Hungria, and another from Steve Kouevi. The Broncos return to action against Nassau on the road this Thursday, October 9th.
