Broncos Can't Squeeze Win Out of Orange

10/3/2014 10:39:00 AM

Box Score 10/3/14 – Bronx, NY

The Men's Soccer team's stint of tough defense continued vs Orange CC yesterday, but the Broncos' inability to capitalize on scoring chances proved to be their undoing as they fell to the Colts, 1-0.

The game remained scoreless for much of the first period.  Though BCC controlled much of the game play, they were unable to make clean shots on goal.  Late in the half, a broken play in the Bronco's defense led to the Colts goal.

The pace and intensity picked up in the second half as the Broncos frantically tried to equalize the game.  A late second yellow card given to Sophomore Milton Moore meant the Broncos needed to play a man down for the last 14 minutes.  Despite that, BCC was able to hold defensively and even open up a few good scoring chances.  However, in the end it was Orange ahead when the final whistle sounded.

With the loss the Broncos fall to 1-3-1 within Region XV.  They return to action on Saturday, October 4th at 6pm as they travel to Chelsea Piers to take on BMCC in a CUNYAC matchup.
