The Bronx Community College Broncos have put together a strong stretch of home soccer, earning back-to-back victories at Ohio Field with a 4-0 shutout of the SUNY Orange Colts on Thursday, September 17, followed by a 5-2 triumph over the Dutchess Falcons on Thursday, September 24. The two victories showcased the Broncos' ability to generate consistent offensive pressure while also taking care of business defensively, as Bronx has outscored its opponents by a combined 9-2 during the two-match winning streak.
Broncos Dominate SUNY Orange, 4-0
The Broncos wasted little time establishing control against SUNY Orange, scoring four times during a dominant opening half before going on to secure the shutout.
Hanif Soule opened the scoring in the 20th minute, with Matthew Ortiz providing the assist. Just two minutes later, David Santa doubled the Broncos' advantage when he finished a feed from Leiver Palacio.
Santa continued to make his presence felt in the 25th minute, converting a penalty kick to give Bronx a 3-0 cushion. The Broncos added one more goal before halftime, with Santa again finding the back of the net from the penalty spot in the 42nd minute to complete his hat trick.
The Broncos' attack was relentless throughout the contest, producing 27 shots, including 16 on goal, while holding the Colts to just four shots. Bronx also earned five corner kicks and limited SUNY Orange to three.
While the Broncos' offensive explosion came entirely in the opening half, the defense remained steady over the final 45 minutes to preserve the shutout. Ramon Caldera played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded four saves as Bronx closed out the 4-0 victory.
Balanced Attack Leads Broncos Past Dutchess, 5-2
One week later, Bronx returned to Ohio Field and produced another impressive offensive performance, defeating Dutchess, 5-2.
The Broncos again established an early advantage, scoring three times before halftime. David Santa opened the scoring in the 36th minute, with Fdu Eselecha Ndemalule credited with the assist. Issagha Sow then found the net at 43:36 off a pass from Palacio before Oumarou Baguian added another goal just over a minute later, sending Bronx into halftime with a 3-0 advantage.
Dutchess answered with two goals early in the second half, cutting into the Broncos' lead. Bronx, however, quickly regained control. Sow scored his second goal of the afternoon in the 70th minute, and Ndemalule capped the scoring in the 81st minute to give the Broncos their second consecutive victory.
The offensive production was spread throughout the Bronx lineup. Sow finished with two goals, while Ndemalule and Baguian each scored once. Santa also found the net, while Ndemalule and Palacio each contributed an assist.
Bronx generated 13 shots in the victory, including eight on target, and earned six corner kicks. Caldera once again went the full 90 minutes in goal, making two saves.
With the two home victories, the Broncos have shown an ability to generate offense from multiple players while maintaining a strong defensive presence. After opening the recent stretch with a shutout against SUNY Orange, Bronx responded to Dutchess' second-half push by scoring twice more to put the match away.

The Broncos will now look to keep the momentum going when they return to Ohio Field on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. to take on the Nassau Lions.
