Bronx was hitting on all cylinders to open up the second half, scoring the first five points of the session (courtesy of a drained freebee by Martineez, and consecutive buckets by Green) to snatch a 26-point advantage (42-16). SUNY Orange responded with a 5-0 spurt to get back to within 21 (42-21), but baskets by Martinez and Davis bumped the Broncos edge to 25 (46-21).

Later in the third quarter, with Bronx owning a 50-27 advantage, the Broncos would finish the quarter on a 9-1 run to take a 59-28 advantage into the final period. During that aforementioned charge, Green contributed five points, and Robertson nailed a long triple with time trickling down.
