Taylar Hill, Yahannis Martinez score 12 points apiece in Broncos' loss to Middlesex

The Bronx Broncos' women's basketball team dropped a road game on Tuesday evening, falling to the Colts of Middlesex College by a score of 73-35. The game took place in Edison, New Jersey. With the defeat, Bronx dipped to a record of 5-13 on the 2024-2025 campaign.

Despite the loss for the Broncos, Taylar Hill connected on four triples, finishing with 12 points to go along with four rebounds. Yahannis Martinez netted 12 points while collecting six boards and swiping three steals. Angelina Gonzalez scored six points, snatched 10 rebounds, and added three steals, and finally, it was Ana Matos contributing five points, 10 boards, three assists, and three steals.

The Colts held a commanding 37-18 edge at halftime, before running away with the game in the second half, outscoring the Broncos 18-9 in the third, and 18-8 in the final period.

For the game, Bronx connected on just 25 percent of its attempts from the floor (12-48). The Broncos collected 46 rebounds, swiped 11 steals, dished four assists, and turned the ball over 28 times.

The Broncos will wrap up the regular season portion of the schedule this Saturday, as Bronx travels to Poughkeepsie, NY to take on Dutchess Community College. Start-time at Falcon Hall Gymnasium is scheduled for 1:00pm.
