Red Hawks defeat Broncos in four sets in competitive CUNYAC clash Tuesday evening

The Broncos' women's volleyball team suffered a four-set defeat Tuesday evening, falling to the Red Hawks of LaGuardia Community College by scores of 21-25, 20-25, 25-23, and 15-25. The match took place at the Alumni Gymnasium in the Bronx. With the defeat, the Broncos dipped to a mark of 1-3.

Despite the loss for Bronx, Pamela Sierra led the way with five kills on the evening to go along with five digs. Yamelis Santana and Veronica Rivera added three kills apiece, and Valerie De Los Santos contributed 13 digs and seven service aces on the night. Finally, it was Naomi Rodriguez contributing eight assists.

For the evening, the hosts accumulated 14 kills, 17 service aces, and 26 digs.

Bronx will return to the court on Thursday evening, as the Broncos host the Tigers of Fashion Institute of Technology. Start time at the Alumni Gymnasium is scheduled for 7:00pm.
