Bronx musters just seven shots in 7-0 loss to SUNY Ulster

The Broncos' men's soccer team was overwhelmed this afternoon, falling to the Senators of SUNY Ulster by a score of 7-0. The match took place in Stone Ridge, NY. With the loss, Bronx dipped to 0-2 on the season, while Ulster improved to 3-1.

SUNY Ulster's Imari Harris was the star of the contest this afternoon, as he netted three goals while also registering assists on two more. Other Senators to find the back of the net included EJ Lazo (from Harris), Renzo Scanu (from Jose Lopez), Owen Canjura (from Harris), and Luis Torres (from Jason Ramirez-Perez).

For the match, the Senators recorded a total of 29 shots, while the Broncos were held to just seven, four by Mohammed Ali, and three by Moises Gonzalez.

Ulster goalkeeper Cody Baker recorded the shutout, making four stops in the process, while his counterpart, the Broncos' Melvin Valerio, registered nine saves in a losing effort.

The Broncos will return to action on Tuesday afternoon, as Bronx will return home to take on BMCC in a CUNYAC match. Start-time at Ohio Field is scheduled for 4:00pm.
