Herbert Gary scores 19 points, Taijay Good 15 as Broncos fall to Falcons

The Broncos' men's basketball team is still searching for its first victory, falling this past Tuesday to the Falcons of Dutchess Community College by a score of 119-67. With the defeat, Bronx dipped to 0-7 on the season, while the Falcons stayed unblemished at 9-0.

Despite the loss for Bronx, sophomore Herbert Gary connected on seven of his 15 attempts from the floor, finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds, three steals, and a pair of assists. Taijay Good drained eight of his nine attempts from the line, finalizing his evening with 15 points and five assists, and Matthew Candelaria connected on a pair of triples, registering eight points.

The Broncos trailed 60-19 at the half, and played the hosts much tighter in the final 20 minutes, yet Dutchess was still able to outscore Bronx 59-48 in the sec second session to account for the 52-point victory.

Bronx will look to bounce back on Thursday evening, as the Broncos will travel to Paramus, NJ to take on Bergen Community College. Start-time for the contest is scheduled for 8:00pm.
