Hostos wins, going away from Bronx 101-62

Playing at Alumni Gymnasium last night, the Hostos Community College Caimans men's basketball team had a win over the Bronx Community College Broncos with a final score of 101-62.   The season record for the Broncos is now 4-13 and 2-4 in the CUNY Athletic Conference.   The Caimans season record is 14-7 and 6-0 in the CUNYAC..

The Broncos team had a difficult 1st half of the game.  The team scored a low 21 points and found themselves 30 points behind in 20 minutes of play.  In the 2nd half, the Broncos team play was consistent and balanced but did not reduced the Caimans lead.   The shot making numbers for the Broncos were below average and the ball control mistakes numbers were high.  

Malik Dale scored 14 points.   Blaise Atanga was the leading scorer for the Broncos with 18 points.  Enmanuel Garcia scored 11 points and lead the team in rebounds with 16.  Christopher Mills had 10 rebounds and scored 8 points.  Ramon Santos IV scored 10 points.

The next game for the Broncos will be in Bayside, NY on Saturday, February 5, 2022 against the Queensborough Community College Tigers starting at 1:00 PM in the RFK Gymnasium.
