Men's basketball comes up short at Queensborough 73-72

Blaise Atanga paces Broncos with 23 points

The Queensborough Community College Tigers men's basketball team (10-8, 6-2 CUNYAC) took and made the last shot of the game to win over the Bronx Community College Broncos team (4-14, 2-5 CUNYAC) by the score of 73-72 at RFK Gymnasium in Bayside, NY.  The Broncos are now in a seven game losing streak.

The Bronx team play on offense made 35% of the shots attempted and made 71% of free throws taken.  The Broncos had 51 rebounds, 16 assists, 14 steals, 6 blocks and 15 turnovers while controlling the basketball effectively.  The team had the lead in the score most of the game and loss it when the last shot was made at the end of regulation time.

Blaise Atanga scored 23 points and had  13 rebounds.  Enmanuel Garcia scored 11 points and 11 rebounds.  Malik Dale scored 14 points.  Ramon Santos IV scored 9 points while making 3 out of 4 free throws attempted.  Agustin Fernandez had a double-double by having 18 rebounds and scoring 13 points.

On Monday, February 7, 2022, the Broncos return to historic Alumni Gym to play the Dutchess Community College Falcons team starting at 7:00 PM.
